Living in Florida after growing up in New Jersey, Linda has wanted to be a writer since she was 13. She never realized that some sport is available year-round, having paid attention only to football and occasionally baseball during her college and early working years. After living with her first husband and the total sports immersion that entailed, she wrote Football Basics for Women in 1995. Now revised and renamed Football Basics, she is currently working on a mystery series set on the Treasure Coast of Florida.
Linda met Joanna Campbell Slan in 2006 in South Florida at SleuthFest (www.mwaflorida.org/sleuthfest.htm), a mystery writer’s conference sponsored by the Florida Chapter of Mystery Writers of America. Becoming fast friends after discovering much in common and seeing each other in St. Louis (where Joanna lives and Linda has family) and Florida (where Linda lives and Joanna has family), a love of writing and particularly mysteries forged a business relationship.
Find out more about Joanna at www.joannacampbellslan.com, including her new mystery series featuring Kiki Lowenstein, now available from all major booksellers--Paper, Scissors, Death: A Kiki Lowenstein Scrap-N-Craft Mystery.
Linda met Wendy Hayward through a fellow writer whose son is friends with Wendy. Wendy lives in South Beach and is a volunteer tour guide for the Miami Design Preservation League, giving the Art Deco Walking Tours (a $5 coupon for the Art Deco Walking Tour is included in The Locals' Guide to South Beach); she decided to write the guide so everyone could enjoy the South Beach that she knows and loves. She has spoken to so many people who "missed" the South Beach experience, and hope others will benefit from The Local's Guide to South Beach.
